It may not seem like a good time to promote your dealership, but it actually offers you a unique opportunity to reach out and connect with customers you haven’t seen in a while. That’s right, today I’ll share two ideas for how you can turn April showers into additional service traffic.

Promote Spring Car Care
In case you aren’t aware, April is National Spring Car Care Month and the perfect time to promote spring services. Think about targeting customers who you haven’t been in your Service Department for the past 12 months. You can deliver them both educational information about getting their vehicle ready for the warmer months ahead and also service savings to help with the cost of performing these services. Be sure to leverage the national campaign in your marketing to gain trust and visibility for your efforts.

Offer Detail Advice
In most states, the winter weather can wreak havoc on a vehicle. That’s why many dealerships utilize campaigns specifically targeted for vehicle detailing. There are several ways your dealership can take advantage of this type of campaign. You could invite customers into your Service Department to receive a full tutorial about the best way to detail their vehicle. Or, if you have a Detailing Department on staff, you could offer discounted services. Be sure to target customers who you haven’t seen in at least nine months to recapture your inactive database.
