Heat Up Your Marketing with Vehicle Education

July 22, 2016

Heat Up Your Marketing with Vehicle EducationIn many parts of the country, heat indexes are near reaching or have surpassed the 100 degree mark and people everywhere are fleeing towards air conditioning to keep cool. But that doesn’t mean your marketing should cool off; in fact, now is the perfect time to heat up your marketing. This week’s campaign idea will help you do just that. By educating your customers about tire maintenance, you’ll drive more service traffic and revenue to your dealership.

Inform Customers About Tire Wear
If you know anything about tires, you know that tread is one of the most important things to watch for signs of wear. Most consumers don’t really understand how important tire tread is or how to check for too much wear. Educate your customers that tire tread is what ensures their vehicles have good traction and avoids sliding on wet roads. Also, be sure to inform them about how to check their vehicle’s tires for wear and when to have a professional inspect their tires for replacement.

Inform Customers About Tire Pressure
A lot of the newer vehicles have tire pressure monitors that tell the owner when to put more air in the tire, but many do not. For some, it can be hard to tell if their tire pressure is getting low just by visually inspecting it. Think about educating customers to check their tire pressure regularly. Remember to inform them that proper tire pressure extends the life of their tires and improves gas mileage.

Inform Customers About Tire Rotation
The last piece of information you should include in your tire maintenance marketing to customers is the importance of tire rotations. Be sure to educate them about tire wear patterns and how regular tire rotations can extend the life of their tires. If you want, you could even include a coupon for a free tire rotation with any service purchase, since this is most likely a maintenance item they won’t complete themselves.

Don’t let the heat and humidity get you down; heat up your marketing with vehicle education about tire maintenance. Your customers will appreciate the information you provide and will reward you with increased traffic and revenue.
