Offer Showroom Perks
In case you weren’t aware, purchasing a new vehicle is not the most enjoyable thing for a consumer. Typically it takes hours of time and all the consumer can think about is how much in debt they are going to be when they leave the dealership. Even if you have a friendly staff and speedy purchasing process, the financing is still very painful for any consumer. So ease that pain a little with some refreshments. That’s right, sometimes it’s the little things that make us feel better and with the stress of car buying, your customer will appreciate some drinks and snacks while they move through the purchasing process.

Host a Customer Appreciation Event
This idea has definitely been thrown out before, but when it comes to boosting foot traffic, there really is no simpler, better idea than a Customer Appreciation Event. Now, we’re not talking about a Sales Event that you just simply dub a Customer Appreciation Event, but an actual party that you throw at your dealership in honor of your customers. There are a couple of ways to pull together an event like this, but probably the one that requires the least amount of planning and execution is by soliciting local food trucks or restaurants to provide the food and beverages and getting a local radio station or band to play music.

Offer Gift Cards
Everybody loves to get free stuff and chances are your customers and prospects are no different. So, think about offering gift cards for every test drive taken to boost end-of-summer traffic. You could offer gift cards from any number of retail outlets. Or, you could piggy back on the soon-to-be marketing extravaganza of back to school and offer test drivers gift cards to save on shopping. Either way, your dealership will win with increased foot traffic.
