Have you caught spring fever?Can you feel it? Spring is in the air. If you’re like many Americans, the first sign of spring has you ready to spend some much needed time outdoors in the sunshine. Even if you live in a warmer climate, spring brings a sense of renewal to the darker days of winter. What about your customers who have yet to catch spring fever? How can you help them catch the excitement of a new season? Today I’ll share two ways you can help customers celebrate the coming of spring.

Share Spring Car Care Tips
A great way to help customers catch spring fever is helping them spruce up their vehicles after the long winter. Chances are most of your customers are in need of maintenance to help get their vehicles ready for the warmer weather ahead. As the auto expert for your customers, your job is to ensure their vehicles continue to be reliable, safe, and efficient. So, offer helpful reminders to your customers to check wear items on their vehicles, such as tires, brakes, belts, and hoses. Also, be sure to remind them to test their battery for proper charge and check the air conditioner for sufficient Freon levels. By having their vehicle properly serviced, your customers can hit the road for carefree spring travel.

Host a Spring Car Care Event
Reach out to customers and invite them in for a Spring Car Care Event. After all, April is National Car Care Month. You can register your event nationally at www.carcare.org; here you can also locate valuable tips to ensure your event is a success. A car care event can be as big or as small as you want to make it. You can also utilize your event to build relationships with other businesses in your community, such as local restaurants that can provide food for your event, local firemen or police officers to demonstrate proper child car seat installation, or even your local media to offer press for your event. By hosting a Spring Car Care Event, you can drive additional traffic to your dealership, create lasting relationships between your customers and staff, and help your customers catch the spirit of spring.
