Kick-Start the New Year by Honoring MLK's DreamMartin Luther King, Jr. was best known for his work and advancements in the Civil Rights movement. More specifically he is known for his “I Have a Dream” speech, which he delivered in 1963 during the March on Washington. To many, King is an inspiration and symbol of hope in American history and for this, we honor him every January with a national holiday. Why not utilize this holiday and brave man’s achievements as a reason to communicate with your customers and prospects?

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is January 20th this year and presents an excellent opportunity to reach out to customers and kick-start your New Year. You could simply ask customers to take a moment out of their day on January 20th to remember MLK and his memorable speech that will forever be marked as a turning point of the Civil Rights Movement. A campaign like this will provide you top-of-mind awareness with your customer base and demonstrate your passion for equality.

If you so choose, you could include sales or service offers in your email campaign to help drive additional traffic to your dealership. However, you’ll want to make sure that the offers are displayed on the template as an added benefit for doing business with you. Reason being, if you are doing an MLK remembrance campaign, it may look tacky to your customers if it includes offers. Be sure to keep this in mind when designing your campaign.
