Promote Back-to-School Marketing to End Summer with a SizzleLast week we discussed the back-to-school season is in full swing and how to get involved with your local community by hosting a school supply drive. This week we take another look at three back-to-school campaigns that will also drive traffic and revenue to your store.  End your summer with a sizzle by promoting back-to-school marketing.

Offer DIY Maintenance
Although most consumers would prefer to have a specialist work on their vehicle, some like to perform basic maintenance items themselves. Inform customers of these types of do-it-yourself services such as checking and topping off engine fluid levels, testing the vehicle’s battery, checking tires for wear and proper tire pressure, and testing all lights on the vehicle to ensure they are working properly. For many of your recipients, they’ll appreciate the reminder of these important back-to-school services and reward you with increased service traffic.

Buy One For Your Local School
You’ve probably seen this type of advertising promoted at an OEM level – for each test drive performed during a given period, the OEM donates a given amount to the local school. This campaign idea is a spin-off of this concept. Work with your local school to promote a Buy One for Your Local School campaign and donate a specific amount for every vehicle purchased during a given period. You’ll help schools get ready for the back-to-school season with extra donations and drive more traffic to your showroom.

Create a First Day of School Photo Contest
Most parents take first day of school pictures of their little students before putting them on the bus. This presents a perfect opportunity for you to host a Facebook contest for the first day of school. You can ask followers to post their pics and then reward the one with the most “likes.” These types of contests are a great way to build brand recognition and increase your social footprint to boost traffic and revenue to your store.
