Catch Spring Fever with St. Patrick's Day

But you can’t deny the idea that green grass, flowers, and warm weather entices you to think about the spring season ahead. The month of March presents a great opportunity for you to help your customers catch spring fever. This week’s campaign idea is all about promoting your dealership and driving traffic by leveraging St. Patrick’s Day.

Get the Luck of the Irish
This twist on St. Patrick’s Day marketing is a fun one. All you’ll need is some green construction paper, a pair of scissors, and a marker. Cut out several of four-leaf clovers, then depending on your March goals, write vehicle incentives or service savings on the back of each one. If you decide to promote vehicle incentives, tape the clovers to the windshield of your new vehicle inventory and allow customers to redeem upon purchase. If you decide to promote service savings, tape the clovers to the front of your service counter and allow customers to redeem upon servicing their vehicle.

Keep Customers Safe
St. Patrick’s Day is one of the biggest drinking days of the year. You could use this to create brand awareness for your dealership and build loyalty among your customers. Think about offering a cab service to your most loyal customers who need a ride home after a night of drinking green beer. If you don’t want to commit to that, you could remind customers to be safe on St. Patrick’s Day and offer information about local cab services.

Green with Envy
Every OEM is producing more and more fuel-efficient vehicles; some have even ventured into the hybrid or electric vehicle market. Most consumers in America are looking to get better fuel economy from their vehicle, so capitalize on this and promote your higher mpg lineup to create envy among your customers for a new vehicle. Be sure to promote green colored vehicle images and leverage green St. Patrick’s Day art in your campaign to drive relevance for your campaign.

St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, so if you’re going to leverage the spirit of the Irish, now is the time to start planning your marketing. Regardless of your campaign’s contents, leveraging St. Patrick’s Day will aid in your effort to help customers catch spring fever and result in increased traffic and revenue for your dealership.
