Protect Your Customers and Their Vehicles from the Summer Sun

With summer quickly approaching and the daylight hours getting longer and longer, now is the time to remind customers to protect their skin and their vehicles from harmful UV rays. Here are three quick campaign ideas to reach out to customers, provide vehicle education, and create brand awareness for your dealership.

Protect Their Skin
First, educate customers about having proactive sun habits throughout the summer months. Remind them to wear sunscreen with an SPF 15 or higher and limit their time outside, or if they plan on being outside for longer periods of time, cover up with clothing, hats, and sunglasses. Sending helpful reminders to customers about protecting their skin will keep them healthy, but also ensure your dealership is top of mind.

Protect Their Paint
Another way to drive awareness for your dealership is by educating customers about proper maintenance routines to counteract the wear and tear on their vehicle’s paint during the summer months. Remind customers that to prevent cracking and fading of their vehicle’s paint, they should wash and dry it often and apply a coat of wax to protect it against the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Protect Their Interior
Lastly, the summer sun can wreak havoc on a vehicle’s interior upholstery, especially if it’s leather. You can remind customers to park their vehicles in the shade, whenever possible, or purchase a sun shade for their windshield. By doing so, they’ll prevent drying and potentially cracking of their vehicle’s dashboard. Also, be sure to inform them about applying a coat of conditioner to their leather seats, when applicable, for further vehicle protection.
