Offer a Reminder
Some of your customers will just need a helpful reminder to check their vehicle’s tires. They already know how to check their tires for tread and wear problems. However, if they see an issue, chances are they are visiting your Service Department for new tires because of your helpful reminder. Think about delivering relevant, maintenance marketing to customers to keep your dealership top-of-mind to drive service business.
Offer Free Inspections
On the other hand, customers who are not comfortable with checking their tires for tread and wear problems will need a little more help from your Service Department. In these cases, think about offering a free tire inspection to customers. You can either offer this free inspection to any customer who stops by your Service Department or just offer it to those who are having service performed. Either way your customers will reward you with additional revenue from tire sales.
Offer Tire Savings
If you’ve bought tires recently, you’ll probably agree that this is an expensive purchase. Although tires are one of the most important items on a vehicle, some of you customers just don’t want to or can’t incur the expense. For these instances, be sure to offer tire savings. If your OEM is tire incentives, be sure to advertise their promotion. If not, come up with your own tire savings to drive customers to your Service Department.
