Spring Into Loyalty with Military AppreciationAs the warmer weather sets in and with summer just ahead, Americans everywhere are becoming increasingly busier in their daily lives, which means as a marketer, it becomes increasingly harder to get their attention. What are your plans to grab your recipients’ attention? How will you stand out in the sea of advertisers who are delivering marketing to your audience?

Since May is National Military Appreciation Month, it presents the perfect opportunity to reach out and support your local military members. Also, a military appreciation campaign is a great way to draw attention to your marketing, and more importantly your dealership. Here are two ways to leverage a military appreciation campaign and spring into more loyalty this May.

Thank a Solider
A great way to incorporate military appreciation into your marketing is by promoting a Thank a Solider campaign. This idea is really simple. All you need to do is ask recipients of your marketing to take the time to thank those who have fought for our freedom. You could also send out a heartfelt message to customers and include a “thank you” message to soldiers from your dealership. If you want to take your marketing one step further, you could even host an appreciation event this month to demonstrate your thanks to local soldiers and their families for their sacrifice.

Leverage OEM Military Discounts
Most OEMs have some type of military discounts towards the purchase or lease of a new vehicle. Think about promoting these incentives during the month of May, and potentially adding some additional discounts of your own for active or retired military members. Be sure to specifically state what qualifiers are needed to participate in your OEM’s military discount program. Lastly, you’ll want to include messaging in your campaign that demonstrates your appreciation to local military members for their service.
