TFun in the Sun with an Eventhe official start to summer is coming up on June 21st. Now I know what you might be thinking, “Summer unofficially started on Memorial Day,” which is true, but why not celebrate it again? Especially since summer is Americans’ favorite season of the year and the time of year where most Americans are participating in outdoor activities and road trips. Why not celebrate the start to summer all over again and have some fun in the sun with an event? Here are two ideas to get you started.

Camping Event
So maybe you’re not a camper, but I bet some of your customers are and chances are this summer they’ll be taking their vehicles to the great outdoors. Think about putting together a campaign where you show off the vehicles in your lineup that offer the best features for campers. Or, think about communicating with current owners about aftermarket accessories that will help them out during a camping weekend. Each type of campaign offers a great way for you to connect with current customers and relay some important information about the vehicles and accessories you offer.

Summer Event
Some dealerships may not be hip to the camping event or potentially the lineup doesn’t offer enough camping specific items to build an entire campaign. No problem. Think about hosting a Summer Event at your dealership and inviting your current customers, prospects, and members of the community. Now you could make your Summer Event all about selling and moving units, in which case be sure to have your most popular vehicles featured at an optimal spot on your lot, or you could host an event with food, music, and entertainment. Now the latter does take a little more time, planning, and money, but will surely drive business to your door. But no matter which approach you choose to take, a summer event will drive increased foot traffic and revenue to your dealership.
