Be Relevant
If you’re really not sure how to leverage the upcoming presidential election in your marketing, it may be as simple as encouraging your customers, prospects, and members of the community to get out and vote. A reminder to vote campaign is a great way to keep top-of-mind awareness for your dealership. It also puts your brand front and center for any potential vehicle buyers.

Create Choices
One thing the presidential election has always been about is choosing a candidate that stands for similar values as your own. With this in mind, think about creating marketing pieces that feature two models from your lineup with very different attributes. For example, you could feature a sedan and a pick-up truck or a sport model and a luxury model. Then, use the theme of choosing the right vehicle for you as your marketing message. This is a great way to leverage the presidential election and promote your hottest models.

Don’t Pick Sides
This is the time of year where everyone has an opinion about who should be president. So, when setting up your election marketing, be sure not to pick a side or bash a candidate. If you do pick a side, you’ll do the exact opposite of your goal and actually alienate your customers and potential buyers. Be sure to stay neutral and only leverage the theme of the presidential election.
